Facility Design & Development, Ltd. is a full service architecture, planning, and interior design firm with offices in New York City, Northeast and Central Pennsylvania. The firm has a regional focus, and has a client base that spans throughout Pennsylvania to Boston, Massachsetts. Facility Design & Development is a corporation with licenses to provide architectural services in seven states. The firm's principal strengths are design-sensitive and technology-driven environments.

Our New York office, managed by Dennis Belfiore AIA, a former principal with the international firm HOK, services high caliber corporate, financial and technology-based clients including Viacom, MTV, Merrill Lynch, Dean Witter, Metromedia Fiber Networks and Glencore. This branch is geared toward generating projects with complex programs, assignments with high-design or design sensitive objectives, as well as high-tech or technology driven assignments, employing state of the art equipment, furnishings and systems.
Our Wilkes-Barre and Scranton offices are managed by Alex Belavitz, R.A., NCARB. Mr. Belavitz has been responsible for much of the firm's planning and urban design work, and is a native of the Scranton area. A proponent of integrated environments, his design approach has been recognized by peers and colleagues as thoughtful and "appropriate"; provoking a sense of environmental "fit". His projects include Strategic Plans for the City of Carbondale, the City of Pittston Waterfront, the Murray Complex in Wilkes-Barre, and the Central Railroad of New Jersey Train Station in Scranton, PA.

The State College, PA office, headed by M. John Lew III, AIA, NCARB, serves a number of clients throughout Central and Southwest Pennsylvania. Facility Design State College has had the opportunity to provide expert architectural services to a diverse client base including the Shaner Corporate Headquarters, Center Hills Country Club, State College Area YMCA, ReMax Center Realty Headquaters, Bucknell University, Lock Haven University and Penn State University.

Our entire firm works collectively toward the common goals of providing personal attention, quality design and client satisfaction. "Excellence through Understanding" is our objective. To take the time to understand the problem beyond that which is stated, and to generate solutions in response to that understanding separates our firm from any other in the markets that we do business.
